ok the reason why i want to use 2 sound cards on my desk top is to have jaws speaking on 1 with my head phones and the other is to connect to my stereo. some times my family has people over and I'm the so called dj and i just would like to search for music and other things without everybody hereing jaws. I'm pretty sure i need a internal sound card but correct me if I'm rong. once i do install it is it simple to devide the sounds between one sound card and the other? thanks in advance for your responses

you probably already have a sound card in your computer. If so, the easiest way to accomplish this provided you're running windows vista or 7 is to buy a USB headset. Because vista and 7 see these as sound devices, you can easily set your computers sound card as the default play back device. Subsequently, in jaws under utilities and sound cards again provided you're running at least I believe jaws 10, or 11, you can select the USB headset as the default sound card for jaws. The only reminder I would give you here is when you're ready to go back to jaws running from the default sound card, make sure you to put it back on where you originally found it under utilities and sound cards.

Yes a great suggestion.
I like to just buy a USB card. There about $15. Again you can just put your jaws on the USB card and plug your regular headset in to it and set the volume easy, either with an add on volume control or in the card itself.
The plus with this arangement is if you don't change it back and unplug it it reverts back to the internal card, or default card that is on the computer, so no worries there. You can also use this card on any computer no matter its OS.
atguys.com and www.officedepot.com have them.
